How many sets and reps do you suggest?

How many sets and reps do you suggest for each exercise for practice and before moving on to harder exercises and variations?

Well if you talk about reps 3 or 4 sets for my side and 12-15 reps per set would better

For hypertrophy, my standard approach is 3 or 4 sets, 12-15 reps per set, aiming for no more than 2 minutes rest.

Just do some low reps to start with on a primary lift then do some accessories. Check out something like GZCL LP or Greg Nuckols 28 programs. Its all in the wiki, you are a beginner and it isn't rocket science.

I suggest to use timers, I use timer when I do some push ups or etc. 3mins push ups 3 sets, 3mins of planking 3 sets :)
